Plan of a Normal Course:
The 1st 2 days of taking hCG, you gorge on fatty foods, to make sure your normal fat cells are filled to capacity. It usually takes a single hCG diet cycle of only 26 days or 42 days if you have more than 25 pounds of fat to lose. If you are unable to lose all of your unhealthy weight by the end of your first cycle it may be necessary to repeat the diet for a second cycle. In this case you’ll need to take a break from dieting first (3 weeks between the 26 day program or 6 weeks between the 42 day program). This prevents you from developing an immunity to the benefits of hCG supplementation.
The Diet:
Place 4 drops of hCG under the tongue and hold them there for up to 5 minutes (don’t swallow as the stomach will destroy the hCG). Perform this 3 times per day with equal intervals in between. Don’t eat or drink anything for 30 minutes before or after you place the drops under your tongue. Women should wait until the end of their monthly period to begin their hCG diet and should cease taking drops during their next cycle (if it occurs prior to the end of their hCG diet program).
While on your hCG diet you will be required to drop your calorie intake to 500 calories per day. The body has 3 types of fat: Structural, Normal and Abnormal. HCG targets the Abnormal fat. This means you’ll be breaking down more calories through existing fat in your body – which is one reason you will not be “starving” on this unique diet. The 500 calorie diet must be adhered to exactly for best results and is explained as followed.
Breakfast:
Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or stevia, such as Truvia® may be used.
Lunch:
100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. To do this accurately the patient must have a letter-scale. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed.
One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage. One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast. An apple or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
It is not uncommon for some people to feel that even so little food is too much for them, you can omit anything you wish.
Dinner:
The same four choices as lunch.
Additional Points:
The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes. Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.
Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times.
It is recommended to drink about 2 liters of water per day. Many people are afraid to drink so much because they fear that this may make them retain more water. This is a wrong notion as the body is more inclined to store water when the intake falls below its normal requirements.
The fruit or the breadstick may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner, but not more than than four items listed for lunch and dinner may be eaten at one meal.
No cosmetics other than lipstick, eyebrow pencil and powder may he used without special permission.
You can also break up the meals, for instance, having a breadstick and an apple for breakfast or before going to bed, provided they are deducted from the regular meals. The whole daily ration of two breadsticks or two fruits may not be eaten at the same time, nor can any item saved from the previous day be added on the following day.
